Monty’s Introduces Ready-to-spray Organic Soil Conditioner for Lawns and Gardens

For Immediate Release
September 19, 2011

Louisville, Ky. — Lawn and garden enthusiasts will have a new, easy-to-use tool this fall to help improve their soil conditions and ultimately their spring plantings.  Monty’s Plant Food Company, manufacturer of plant and soil enhancement products for lawn and garden and agriculture, has introduced a Ready-to-spray Liquid Carbon Organic Soil Conditioner.

The ready-to-spray product enables users to easily connect the bottle to a garden hose for simple spray applications to soil in lawn and garden areas around their homes.  It is available in a 32-ounce bottle, which covers approximately 10,000 square feet, or one quarter acre.  The spray nozzle applies at a rate of 100-1.

Monty’s Ready-to-spray Liquid Carbon Organic Soil Conditioner is derived from 100 percent natural elements and employs Monty’s proprietary humic technology.  It is completely safe and non-toxic for use in all lawn and commercial applications.  It helps relieve soil compaction, or density, often found in clay soils, and provides more oxygen for healthy root system growth.  It is designed to improve drainage and nutrient efficiency in all soil types.

Soil conditioning is recommended at least twice each year—once in the fall and once in the spring prior to planting your garden or for accelerated lawn growth.  The fall application generates increased microbial activity in the soil and helps improve the soil’s biology as it lies beneath snowfall and receives moisture during cooler months.

Applying soil conditioner in the spring before planting helps seeds germinate quickly and establish a strong root system.

Throughout the growing season, soil conditioner can be applied with Monty’s Liquid Plant Food to keep soils healthy.  Healthier soils reduce pests and disease pressure on plants, saving time for homeowners and gardeners.

“Soil conditioners help to correct the soil's deficiencies in structure and nutrients,” said Dennis Stephens, president, Monty’s Plant Food Company.  “If your lawn or garden has a good soil foundation, it will make your growing efforts more successful.”

Monty’s Ready-to-spray Liquid Carbon Organic Soil Conditioner is certified organic by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI), a national nonprofit organization that determines which input products are allowed for use in organic production and processing.

The product will be available online at www.mymontys.com and at select Monty’s Plant Food retailers on October 1, 2011.
